Giuseppe drove over 70 miles to our holiday cottage and gave my wife and I a fantastic birthday dinner – his cooking was superb and his entertaining company was a fantastic added bonus – we had a night to remember. We had never hired a personal chef before but will certainly hire Giuseppe again – if you are looking for something special don’t hesitate to hire him – you won’t regret it!!

Giuseppe came down to Peebles to cook dinner for 19 ladies at my Hen Party at a beautiful old house we had hired. Honestly couldn’t fault anything! Probably the nicest meal I’ve ever had & Giuseppe was fab! Lots of little extras…he made Penis bread rolls as a cheeky surprise, causing much amusement, & served us Mojitos before dinner. He never once appeared stressed & was happy for folk to come in & watch him cooking, giving lots of helpful tips! The food was glorious – so fresh, amazing flavours & great presentation. & he left the place spotless when he left, with plenty of leftovers in the fridge! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Giuseppe & am now trying to think of an excuse for another party!!

On the 2nd June 2018, it was my pleasure to be engaged to provide toastmaster and customer care duties at the wedding of Amy and Roberto. All the extensive catering for the day had been entrusted to Master Chef Giuseppe Manzoli. Wow! I have encountered a lot of talented chefs over the years, and I have witnessed a lot of event meals. The passion and skill of Giuseppe and his small team was something to be marveled. Working from a temporary kitchen, the standard of the days fare would have done justice to a 5-star hotel. Every single item was handmade on site from fresh ingredients.

Forgot your TV chefs with their gimmicks and catchphrases, for creative food delivered by a chef with vision, passion and personality the only name you need to remember is Giuseppe Manzoli.

We hired Giuseppe to cater for our wedding back in November. We really can’t recommend Giuseppe enough, he is down to earth & friendly, he will listen to exact what you want. AND his food is amazing. Real proper Italian food! All our guests loved his lasagna, it was a big hit on the night! Thank you again Guiseppe we really appreciate all the effort & love you put into your food

Giuseppe catered for my 30th birthday party recently and did an incredible job.

The food was delicious, the variety and standard of the dishes and presentation was first class and the service was outstanding. He effortlessly cooked for a variety of dietary requirements, and all guests commented on how amazing the food was. Giuseppe became a huge part of the party and the evening, and his friendly and warm manner was appreciated by all guests who enjoyed chatting to him all night. He couldn’t have done enough to help the evening run smoothly, he made cocktails, and along with his assistant, Daniela regularly went around with canapés and different dishes for people to try. I would highly recommend Giuseppe and can’t thank him enough, we will definitely use him again in the future.

I cooked in July 2024 at Toftcombs House in Biggar , Scotland, and My Client Jordy from N.Y. booked me and at the end of the dinner she was very happy to leave this video testimonial for me. I served to the group Canapes and a full-sitting dinner experience.

Dear Giuseppe,

I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful food and service you provided for the funeral reception I held in my flat.

There was such a range of utterly delicious food that was so clearly fresh and homemade that my guests were astonished and delighted. I cannot say which dishes were our favourites because we all had our own choices. I must say that I am looking forward to trying out some I did not actually have on Tuesday, but which you thoughtfully packed away for my freezer. All agreed that my late husband, Iain, would have loved it. As someone who hated paper plates and plastic cutlery, he would also have appreciated your proper cutlery and crockery, including the bone China cups.

Everyone was also so impressed with how hard-working, sensitive, discreet and resourceful you and your assistant were. You recognized that I needed to concentrate on my guests, and you simply got on with what had to be done. I also have to say that my flat was tidier and cleaner after you left than it normally is.

Tuesday was a very sad day, but you brought some joy into it and reminded me that when I am no longer in mourning I need to get back to Italy, my favourite country in the world – and Iain’s.

You provide exceptional service and I wish you every success in your business.

Giuseppe catered for a dinner for a 50th birthday celebration at a holiday rental and from the moment he arrived the kitchen was a flurry of activity! Within minutes we were sampling tasters and the evening just got better and better😁 Giuseppe’s ability to put as at our ease, produce fabulous food as well as a beautiful environment for our cocktails and canapes🥂🍹🍸 As for our meal, well words really can’t adequately describe the sublime courses that sped out of the kitchen – in fact we were struggling to get through all the courses and Giuseppe ended up providing enough food for the following day too! Not only did Giuseppe work wonders in the kitchen, he left the place sparkling and even cleared away the refuse! We can’t recommend Giuseppe highly enough and whenever any of our group have the opportunity to have a catered event in the future, there’s only one chef we will call on. Giuseppe prepared a banquet for eighteen of my family and friends. It was amazing. Every guest without exception commented on how delicious the massive array of courses tasted and how they had never experienced anything like it before! Even the vegetarians said that they had never tasted vegetarian food of such a high standard and all of them asked for him for his recipes. Giuseppe has a wonderful personality, he is friendly, open and is truly passionate about his amazing creations. He prepares everything, from scratch on the day, in your own kitchen and he even serves the food as well. He served us canapes with a selection of freshly juiced fruit and vegetable cocktails, wine, champagne, teas and coffees, before dinner, then a fabulous seven-course banquet with delicious homemade puddings and freshly ground coffee. Everything created on the day in our own kitchen – amazing! He even washes the pans & dishes, cleans the kitchen, mops the floor and leaves everything as he found it. He is an invaluable asset if you are having a dinner party, celebrating a special occasion, holding an event or entertaining business clients. We found his fee very reasonable, especially as he travelled from Edinburgh to Dumcrieff (some 50 miles) early in the morning, worked all day preparing and serving all courses and then drove back late at night. I can thoroughly recommend Giuseppe Manzoli and will always be happy to employ his services at all my properties, both for family events and for entertaining business clients.

Giuseppe was so easy to deal with beforehand, always promptly answering emails or calls. He amended our menu to suit our needs and it was out of this world. He was so unobtrusive but friendly at the same time. The cocktails were unexpected and fab and the whole evening was made super special. A lovely chef, thank you, it was perfect.

My husband hired him to cater a private meal for my 30th after he provided such a fantastic service at a friends wedding a few months ago and once again he didn’t disappoint. We asked Giuseppe to cater for our high-end hi-fi shop opening day (Audio-philia in Edinburgh) and what a fantastic job he did. The food was delicious and almost as good to look at as to eat, and the presentation was unusual and beautiful (canapes presented on large, ornate mirrors, for example). He even made fresh ice cream on demand! From start to finish Giuseppe did a very professional job, setting up quickly and clearing up just as quickly afterwards. He oozed enthusiasm and friendliness and made a big impression with all of our guests, many of whom took his contact details. We will definitely use Giuseppe for future events and warmly recommend him to others.

WOW!!! I hired Giuseppe to prepare a meal for my Dad’s 70th in our home. It was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and there was so much of it! We had to opt to not have the starters as we were quite full after all the great canapes (which were more like starters!) and wanted to have room for the main course and 2 desserts. Not a problem to Giuseppe-he kindly agreed to put the starters in the fridge for us to have tomorrow, along with lots of other food which was left over- we are not even going to have to cook today as there is so much food from Giuseppe! Everything was beautifully presented and freshly prepared. Best creme brulee I have ever tasted! Giuseppe was very friendly and obviously loves what he is doing. My family all had a great evening. I would highly recommend Giuseppe to anyone looking for a chef and will be telling all my friends about him. Thank you!!!

Amazing chef with amazing food. Truly a top guy and made the dinner I was at was sensational. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had.

Giuseppe is an amazing chef! He catered for a friends birthday where there was any thing to eat  -we arrived a little bit late but Giuseppe managed to serve hot food all the time through.  The food he cooked was spectacular, and he served many different dishes from salmon to chicken breast, sole and chorizo, hand made tagliatelle, hand made ravioli, with many different sauces… It was a buffet style! For the chicken, he used the sous vide method, and I never taste a chicken so juicy and soft. The sole was baked in the oven with herbs and chorizo, a combination of flavor very nice. There was a huge variety of delicious food to suit everyone’s tastes. He prepared the dishes and served to the buffet and through our friends too. At the end he leaves the kitchen spotless,  I would definitely recommend his services :)

I wanted to thank you again for your amazing dinner on Saturday. Organising a hen party can be busy and we were a bit overexcited during the evening, but you were so engaging, fun, and enthusiastic also! Despite our (very) small and ill-equipped kitchen, you cooked up a storm and served us the best dinner ever! Every plate and dish was a wonderful surprise, and every mouthful was delicious! My only regret is that we could not fit all the food in our stomachs but we enjoyed the leftovers the next day. Your food is beautifully presented, fresh, tasty, and true to your Italian roots. Every single person there (all fourteen) was so impressed by the quality, quantity, and variety, of the food, and let’s not forget the fresh homemade strawberry vodka cocktail during the canapes! I cannot recommend you highly enough, and I will certainly be in touch again for future events.

I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful evening last weekend. The food was amazing – and was enjoyed by everyone. It’s a pity we couldn’t do it all justice as there seemed to be too much for our ‘small’ tummy’s to cope with!!

That was one of our best meals in our lifetime, me and my wife enjoyed every second. I cant describe feelings I got when I bite in that unique bread that brought me in my childhood, thanks one more time for that experience!

I am very lucky to have witnessed gio’s skills and the beautiful food that he makes. I would honestly sell my soul to make food the way that he does. There is not enough money in the world to pay the guy that is fitting for his work.
